Historic Presidential Visit

His Excellency Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, paid an official visit to Poland. Discussions with President Andrzej Duda focused primarily on economic cooperation and deepening bilateral relations.

Following the official welcome ceremony at the Presidential Palace courtyard, bilateral talks were held between the two leaders. An official bilateral intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in higher education and science was signed.

Key topics included deepening energy cooperation and Qatari investments in Poland. Qatar is one of the largest LNG producers and exporters, crucial for Poland's energy security since ending Russian gas imports in 2022.
